Natural Vs Synthetics

Posted by khing at 10:01 AM on November 6, 2004.

These are two of the things I used to play with during my childhood. To some, the plant may look like weeds, to me and a few of friends; we spent our recess time faithfully for a few years’ playing sling shot by simple modification to the plant. Sadly, when the friend who introduced us to the game being transferred to another school, the game also stopped.

Here is another thing I used to play. I was again quite surprised to find it still exist. Usually when I smell sometime adhesive, my memory usually will jolt me to this balloon.

Comic Book- Review

Posted by khing at 09:17 PM on November 19, 2004.

Fox Trot, I first read this comic when I bought it off from 1 pound shop 6 or 7 years ago. I actually left it behind at my hostel when I left for uni. On my recent trip to Singapore, I get to read the quite a few of them. Quite interesting that comic artist has the first name of Bill. Apart from this Bill drew Fox Trot, the other Bill I knew is the guy who drew Calvin and Hobbes. One of my favourite character is quincy, the iguana. If any of you get hold of this comic, have a read at it. I do find it quite amusing, entertaining and funny.

Free Treat

Posted by khing at 09:30 PM on November 19, 2004.

There is a chinese saying about " There is such thing as free lunch". I got a free treat of a tall "Starbucks Beverage", of course at the expense of wasting for a few minutes as the coffee lady forgotten about my pre-paid "Green Tea Ice Blended thingy" due to the blender died on them before they managed to prepare my order. After felt being neglected, I gently reminded one of the coffee lady and quite surprise with the prompt action of the manager coming to my table and acquiring if I would have other drinks. I was then being again promptly served with my new order and a free voucher. I wa quite chuffed cause I probably have to work for more than an hour just to have a beverage from this establishment.

Sandwich

Posted by khing at 09:50 PM on November 19, 2004.

Sandwich was invented by the Lord, Earl or Mr Sandwich. Don't quite know the correct title for Mr. Sandwich. The story goes by that Mr. sandwich was so into playing its' poker game or some kindof card game that he cannot bother to leave the table for lunch and so he ordered his servant to bring two pieces of bread with some meat stuffed in between and hence the great invention of sandwich. I took a great affinity to sandwich during my college days. One of my favourite in crab meat with mayo in baguette, or cheaper crabstick sandwich tasted as great. I also enjoyed a steak and cheese by "Subway" with a touch of mustard and ketchup and some pickled cucumber and tomatoes.
