Revive... for the time being.

Posted by khing at 08:54 AM on January 15, 2007.

It has being two years since my last update.  Thought of updating a bit of my blog.  One good way to put off my thought and delaying my action to have an appointment with the dentist.

I am in a transition of switching job and got myself a long month break.  My break is due to end in 2 weeks' time.  My blogging might also come to temporary standstill in two weeks' time.

Nevertheless,  Thoughts are but dreams until the effect being tried.

Dedication

My tribute to the workforce of KSO:

Komag in the very near future likely to go through a new chapter, an acquisition by Western Digital.  Komag Sarawak (KSO) is a very friendly place despite the hectic nature of manufacturing life.  Although I has limited insights to other manufacturing facilities, I was very fortunate to have work along with friendliest group of people, ranging from management level to technician level.  I wish all of my friends and teachers the very best.

Sketches

Smonkeyz is my pen-name. S is the abbreviation for snow and z is to acknowledge the real name of the band I have drawn, Gorillaz.  I still enjoy coming accross some of the creations of Gorrilaz, and actually appreciate more on characters rather than the music.

Jatuh

Posted by khing at 08:24 PM on January 17, 2007.

Jatuh is a malay song by Adam, I was told that he is the protege of Malaysia's boy band, KRU.

"Di manakah pemandangan terindah di dunia?
Puas ku cari setelah jauh melangkah
Hingga takdir menyuluh ke arah mu
Ku temu pemandangan itu terlakar di wajahmu

Dengan setiap renungan
Terpesona ku rasakan
Dengan setiap belaianmu hati makin tersentuh

Oh kasih, oh kasih
Ku berterima kasih
Padamu kerana menyempurnai hidupku

Dan sakit dah sungguh aku asyik terjatuh
Jatuh cinta dengan kamu

Dalam berjuta-jutaan lagu
Tiada satupun dapat menenteramkan kalbu
Melainkan bila kau menyebut
Ke telinga bahawa kau juga sayang padaku

Dengan setiap lafaz kata
Harapan makin menyinar
Untuk kita bersama membina hidup bahagia

Oh kasih, oh kasih
Ku berterima kasih
Padamu kerana menyempurnai hidupku

Dan sakit dah sungguh aku asyik terjatuh
Jatuh cinta dengan kamu

Ku rasa setuah-tuah manusia
Nikmati hidup dengan wanita yang ku cinta

Oh kasih, oh kasih
Ku berterima kasih
Padamu kerana menyempurnai hidupku

Dan sakit dah sungguh aku asyik terjatuh
Jatuh cinta dengan kamu "

Gaudi's Last Work, Placa de la Sagrada Familia

"Life is a battle. In order to fight, one needs strength and the strength of virtue, and this force is only sustained and increased with the cultivation of spirituality, that is, with religious practice. Life is love and love is sacrifice."

Chaos 101

The butterfly effect.

The phrase refers to the idea that a butterfly's wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that ultimately cause a tornado to appear (or, for that matter, prevent a tornado from appearing). The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of the system, which causes a chain of events leading to large-scale phenomena. Had the butterfly not flapped its wings, the trajectory of the system might have been vastly different.

The Chaos Theory exist in our daily life.  Over the years, I observed how's one action will have subsequent chain reaction creating chaotic behaviour. Recurrence, the approximate return of a system towards its initial conditions, together with the sensitive dependence on initial conditions are the two main ingredients for chaotic motion.
