I started my 1st blog back in 1999. At that time, I am not sure if the “blog” phrase has being coined or not. Like many, I tried to channel my thoughts through alternative medium since direct medium often bears a lot of unnecessary consequences. Although, I do see increasing trend of bad slashing and law suit among blogging community. My 1st attempt was short lived as the blogging medium has limited capacity, I recalled my site was limited to 2 pages.
My 2nd resurrection of blogging again was prompt by my need to vent out my existence, during my days as “unemployed” fresh graduate. It was to my amazement of the free space that was provided compare to the early days of two pages. Although, there was a limitation sharing of media storage. I remember that my photos’ storage was limited to 30 or 40 photos. My 2nd attempt lasted for a few months before I went dormant again. This time is due to limited access to do blogging without infringe my ethical habit as an engineer and also as a niece.
I also start to become an addict of blog readers around this time.
My favourite are as followed:
www.sixthseal.com was discontinued. After a long absence, recently this famous blogger blogs again at www.fireelement.com .
Sixthseal was articulate and bold. He is very frank in revealing ‘everything’. Although, there was a gradual diminishing of his creative writing when he decided to confirm ‘veritas’ status. Sixthseal was more interesting when ‘veritas’ was addressed as a third party.
www.kennysia.com often light-hearted and have the edge of a comic writer. His writing reminds me of Jason Hahn, regular columnist of 8 days magazine and author of “ Table for three” and "Asking for trouble".
Both bloggers had their fair share of verbal attacks by some minority blogger, usually due to human nature of vainity and enviness.
Fact: I have sighted both bloggers in person last year. Sixthseal at Kuching International Airport, like me, Sixthseal was a frequent flyer for the kuching - sibu sector. Kenny, at Singapore Wheelock Place's Japanese Fast Food Chain, MOS. Let just said that he is more er...photogenic.
My third resurrection came once again in my brief ‘time-off” from work during my transition to a new job. Again, the virtual work amazed me to that now the free media storage has being upgrade to 250 photos. Storage of mp3 and video recording is still subject to paid subscription. I believe it is just a matter of time, there will be another upgrade of “free still” graphic storage to “animated graphic” storage.
How long I will religiously update my blog this time now? I dunno.
