Beyond Words: Continuation

I am never a preacher, partly because I believe one should practise what one preaches. Beyond words is a bit like "lent", a period of fasting and praying. I never done a full-fasting before but has committed to banning of certain items of pleasure during this period. For my 1st lent, I refrain myself from undertaking "chocolate", one of my favourite food and I emphasised my prayer for my sister's study. I was travelling in Spain during this period and miss out on chocolate related product including a local chocolate malt. Although I lost the chance of tasting all thing chocolate, I get to try out many other flavours' which normally I will not care to try. One of which is pistachio flavoured ice cream. Until today, I still cannot find a substitute for this great taste.
I am still in my 2nd lent with one more week to go. This time round, I have not indulging myself with a local singapore's street food, sold by "Mr Bean". I am quite hooked on "3 in One" a mixture of beancurd, soya milk and peanut rice ball, although usually I go for "2 in one" soya and rice ball minus the beancurd.
I find 'lent' is quite rewarding. During "lent" I becoming more empathy, god put me in situation in which I felt I am quite fortunate and god seemed to provide me with answers which I do not seem to able to receive for the many past months.
For those who never tried lent before, I encourage you to give it a try.
